I just purchased U2 and have started a small project on it. I have no qualm with the feature set and like the interface very much. However, after an hour or so, with a 700-word document open (and another 300-word document resident in the Project), U2 begins to eat up enormous amounts of memory, even more than the dreaded Word, and approaching that of a Safari session with multiple tabs open and running. Has anyone had a similar experience? Does Ulysses simply consume tons of memory, or is this a leak, as it appears to be. I'd write Support, but can't find an address for it on the website. Any comments would be very welcome.

I have been using U2 since its release and have quite a few documents which are more than 10000 words in length. Haven't really seen what you are talking about.

What else have you got running? What exactly does Activity Monitor say?

I do not think this is typical, but best to write directly to sales at the-soulmen.com

I never made this experience, I use Ulysses since 1.5, now 2.0 and have projects with several hundred thousands of words and lots of figures etc.

You can find the support address under the help menu "send feedback". I hope you can enjoy Ulysses better soon.

Virtual memory has few to do with real memory consumption. It might well be that there's a leak somewhere. We will have a look at it. But as long as the "real memory" statistics is far from dangerous bounds it should be no problem. Please see if that value grows as well.
