Ulysses 2.0: Using excerpt in the notes pane

    What is the intended function of the excerpt? Can there an excerpt for each note or is it simply a place to park some text? I'd like to be able to write a short description (i.e. excerpt) for very long note/image/pdfs that will reside in the notes.

    hmm..i look at exerpts as a outline or brief descriptions of the document i am working on. Say a summary of a text, tags or keywords..text that help you create the document or give you a quick overlook of the document your working on.

    Hi,

    I use the excerpt as madox does. If you have long notes, you may think about using a document for each note and create a tag "note" which you can filter in order to have all notes together. Then you may write excerpts for these long note-documents.

    Many thanks. My confusion was that I thought it was to be an excerpt of the active note. Now I understand.
