I'm going through one of my once-every-three-or-four-years phases of being completely fucked off with Apple. They seem to have forgotten (again!) their dedicated base of computer users, some of whom (like me) have been fanboys for two decades or longer, and instead are off chasing spotty kids who think twenty-first century technology was invented entirely to help them chat someone up (and perhaps it was). Ah, well - it was always thus; Apple never has repaid loyalty, whether from customers or developers. I'll be back in love with them by the time it comes to buy a new desktop next year.

I really hope SM solve their problems with the U app and get it onto the market, but only because it'll generate interest in them and revenue for them, which will feed back into the main application. I wouldn't myself use a phone or pad for writing on the move; hell, that's what pen and paper are for. As Maddox says, it's a freakin phone, that's all.

Apple will probably get back on the mac track. It's just that the iPhone and iPad were more important during the last months. They were not ready to show 10.7 (or what it might be called) on this years WWDC. One can be sure that there'll be something big to see next year!
