    Hey everyone, we just released new Public Beta for the Web Export. Here's a list of all the changes:
    Features:
    [New] Added ePub as a new Template to Web Export.
    [Add] Added capability to execute shell scripts after exporting.
    [Add] Added sheet for console output when the shell script fails.
    [Add] Dynamically create property mimetype for attachments.
    [Change] Made the Style Cheatsheet a bit wider.
    [Add] Added images as new Parameter type.
    [Add] Added property "extension" to Templates, thus allowing export to single files.

    Bugfixes:
    [Fixed] document.notes can now be used properly for iteration (using the FOR primitive).
    [Fixed] Fixed some display bugs in IE 6, 7: cut off Table of Contents, double vertical scrollbars, left-aligned horizontal ruler.
    [Fixed] Relative paths for references are now automatically normalized.
    [Fixed] Floating point Parameters are now correctly displayed.

    Thanks for this new release. By all means, being able to export to ePub is fantastic.

    I've noticed one little bug when exporting to Markdown: I use Markdown-style inline markers for "strong" (**) and "emphasis" (*), and it seems to confuse the exporter: whether I convert them to their Markdown equivalent in the exporter window or just leave them to "Don't touch", my output text file messes up with the markers.

    For example, if my input text contains:

    Ulysses is a **great** piece of software

    Then the output file will contain:

    Ulysses is a ****great piece of software

    Or, if I write:

    Exporting to *ePub* is pretty cool

    It gets converted to:

    Exporting to **ePub is pretty cool

    Again, this happens even if I leave the converter to "Don't touch".

    Just did a quick try, it seems to work. Very strange feeling to read my own book on my iPad...

    Do you have any tips for chapter breaks? Right now, the whole book is one big chapter.
    Also for title screens et al. All that stuff has suddenly become relevant.

    We just uploaded an updated version of the Web Export, so in case you’ve already downloaded this Beta, please download it again and update the Exporter.
    The update fixes the following two issues:
    [Fixed] Action Style Menus are now updated correctly.
    [Fixed] Styles with identical Inline Style Tags and Actions are now exported correctly.

    Rubin: this updated version of the second beta should fix your problems with the Inline Style Markup. Please contact us via support@the-soulmen.com if the problem persists.

    Do you have any tips for chapter breaks? Right now, the whole book is one big chapter.

    Every exported Document automatically becomes a chapter. We're planning on including more levels (chapter, sub-chapter, ...) in the future, but haven't implemented this feature in this beta. This way, you could for example make each Level 1 Paragraph Style a sub-chapter heading.

    Also for title screens et al.

    Do you mean a cover image (which also appears in the iBooks bookshelf)? This is already included in the Exporter: just drag an image into the box next to the label "Cover Image" in the Parameters section.

    The export to epub works flawlessly. I particularly like the fact that it produces very clean xml, which is something I expected from the makers of Ulysses. My only question, so far, is: How do I avoid double titles in chapters?
    For instance, if I have the chapters named as separate documents (1, 2, 3, 4...), the exported epub includes two headers, a "1" for the chapter and another that looks like "Chapter 1."
    Other than that, this opens a lot of possibilities. Thank you.

    For instance, if I have the chapters named as separate documents (1, 2, 3, 4...), the exported epub includes two headers, a "1" for the chapter and another that looks like "Chapter 1."

    For this you'd need to change the Template. We have a whole chapter on customizing Templates in the Web Export documentation, which is included in the disk image for the beta.
    To remove the line "Chapter x", you need to go into the ePub Template, open chapter.xhtml for editing and remove line 13 (the one with {{LOC chapter}} {{document.index}}).
    We will probably add a parameter setting in the next beta to disable this line in the exports.

    Thanks for the new release. In every sense, being able to export to ePub produce an excellent result.?If you could comply with my wishes, I would like to have a list of contents at the start of document or at the beginning of entrails and as for the rest, from table of contents we could jump to the body of the work.?Hardly wait to?3.?Truly Yours.?

    I'm not quite sure, but I guess you're looking for something like the "Minimal" Template that already comes with the Web Export. It includes a table of contents at the top, which links to each Document. All Documents are contained in one HTML file.
    If you want, you can also customize this Template, see the Web Export documentation for more information.

    Thank's a lot for your comment. But I would like to have such a style, almost like a "Minimal"Template, not html-format but in the form of epub-format.

    OK. We'd need to create a new Template for this, but I think this should work. We'll consider it for the next beta.

    I have a minor suggestion, too: a single line break should translate to <br />, a double to create a new paragraph (<p>). Besides that the export works great. Thanks!

    Thank a lot for trying to create a new Template. In the meantime, I can not find "Minimal Template" like ePub with competition activity yet. (e.g. Sigli, eCub, etc.)New template will be very attractive in appearance and treat someone with kind consideration, make an agreement where one wants to go in the ePub book. That's just WYSIWYG.
    I believe this endeavour will be bound to differentiation strategy.
    I will cheer for serve as a stepping stone to further development.

    I can not find Web Export 2 on the newest version 2.0.5 when I try to Export my recent Project, even I install WebExport.ulysex in the Contents/PlugIns folder.
    I'm afraid I have to disagree latest Auto-Updating for 2.0.5, because of it unkind enough to change my environment such as Web Export PlugIn.
    I would like get back to 2.0.4 version.
    Please let me know how can I solve and revert circumstance the way it was.??Respectfully,Boehmflute

    Hi, this worked for 2.0.5 but for 2.0.6 attempting to export any graphics results in "No reference found for [graphic_name]."

    The export for graphics should work for both 2.0.5 and 2.0.6 -- I could export the WebExport Documentation without any problems.
