General: My Trial Is About To End...?

    I downloaded the free trial of Ulysses 2.0 some time ago. I started transfering all my two years of information on my book over, along with start a whole new manuscript and so on. I've got hundreds of thousands of words stored on it by now.

    A while ago, it told me I had 30 days left on my trial. I don't remember reading anything about a trial period, and now that it is down to 3 days. I asked my parents if they could purchase it and their answer is "well, your birthday is soon".

    Unless my trial somehow lasts long enough to my birthday, or I can magically buy things off the internet, I have no idea what will happen.

    Once my trial ends, what happens? Do I lose all my data? Should I move all the information I have stored on there to some temporary place? Will I not be able to access my story until I buy? Please tell me what happens - my book is everything to me, and it's all stored on your program.

    After the trial ends, you can still open and edit your project, but you can neither save nor export it. Therefore, none of your data will be lost.
    If you really make sure you won't lose anything, export your book to one of export formats (PDF, RTF, Word, etc). After your birthday (= when you obtain a Ulysses license), you can save/export your project again.

    wait, so I could in theory, still edit my work? Do you mean it doesn't save the PROJECT, or the document? I know sometimes I leave the document unsaved and the work is always there when I open up the app the next morning - will it still do that?

    No, it won't save any changes. Basically you are still able to open your work, but no longer to save any edits you do. If you mail us at support@the-soulmen.com we might, however, find a solution to overcome this period of time...

    oh... okay... I'll start finding something else to store the info in then I guess... :/ maybe email though, or ask my parents if they can buy early...
