I am a non-fictional writer, an editor and a journalist working both for dailypapers and book publisher in Rome. I've been working with Ulysses since I've purchased it a couple of weeks ago, I found it very excellent but in my work I do not just produce text, I correct it too. I've seen, on my Mac Pro, Ulysses do not found double spaces using the "search and replace" window you open with command-r. I've noticed that standard command-f search does not work at all. The command-r search and replace are great idea and work excellent if I save the document but still does not find the doubled spaces I need to remove from text before publish anywhere. It is embarrassing because I would sponsor this software with colleagues, but I still need another text editor to remove double spaces.
I've also test the problem with my macbook: the command-f search still doesn't work at all, file saved or not, but the command-r seems to work perfectly.
On both computers I have the snow leopard.

Because I prevalently work with my Mac Pro, I hope you investigate this bug soon.

Hm, something must be wrong, because both of these work for me (command-f to search the current document and finding double spaces with command-r). They do so across several computers too.

I don't know what to say. The macbook is old, very used, but the mac pro is really new and clean. Program version is 2.0.4
Should I uninstall and install again the program? There is something I can do?

In my Mac Pro under SnowLeopard can remove double spaces using the "search and replace" window with standard command-f.
But open with command-r does not work at all, too, such as a case of Korsmakolnikov.

I would like to know why ?

On the other hand I wrote deal with similar cases but spelled in Japanese before, and Tags as a {{ replace to :: still struggling.

I have to admit that both search and replace modes are a bit broken in the current version. We have seen them working and not working. Sorry for that. If you contact us via mail at support@the-soulmen.com we might find a quick fix...

I've just send on that mail address a mail with the description of the bug, how it works on my two macs.
    Thanks.
