Can you send a sample project that exhibits this behavior to support@the-soulmen.com so we can have a look at it?
I don't think the Exporter has been corrupted, unless you've changed something in the Info.plist file of the Template (which I presume you didn't).

Yes, this is indeed a bug (thanks for noticing it!). Fortunately, it was easy to find and to fix (the fix will be part of the next release).
You can actually fix this bug yourself. Here's how:
1. Select "Manage..." in the Template selection menu.
2. Select the WordPress Snippet from the list and click "Duplicate" (the copy of the Template is now automatically selected.)
3. Click the Edit... button.
4. Select the last tab ("Actions").
5. Select the Inline Style "Image".
6. On the right side, you basically need to switch the values of "Expected Text Format" and "Expected Note Format" (that was the bug). So select the whole text in "Expected Text Format" and cut & paste it to "Expected Note Format". Select the "Expected Text Field" text field and double-click the placeholder "key" in the panel so that it will appear in the field.
Finally, press Close twice. You now have your customized Template (without the bug).
In the same way, you can also adjust your (custom) Template to use URLs instead of inserted pictures. Expected Text Format would be identical, in Expected Note Format you would need to remove the image.data placeholder (simply click on it and press backspace) and replace it by a regular path placeholder (simply type {{path}} and that's it). Similarly, you need to adjust the Result text field (replace the image.path placeholder by {{path}}).
That sounds all a bit complicated but in reality it's not (I hope). Ulysses also includes a comprehensive help section on the Web Export, which you can also find online.
BTW: I've just bought Ulysses today, and at now try to use it for blogging (in WordPress). I am really impressed. Well done!
Great to hear that!
Unfortunately, I can only speak English and German, so I'll answer the rest in English.
To change the image style in the Markdown Snippet Template, you can simply duplicate the Template and adopt the "Link" Inline Style Action. That means, select the "Manage..." menu item in the Template popup button, duplicate the Markdown Template, click on "Edit...", and select the last tab ("Actions"). Then, click on the "Link" Inline Style Action in the list on the left, click the "Gear" symbol on the bottom and select "Duplicate Style". You can now rename the new Style Action and adjust the "Result" text field. Simply putting an exclamation mark (!) before the square bracket should suffice here. Click Close twice. You can now use this new Style Action for your projects.
I hope that helps. You can also read the Web Export Help for more information (unfortunately, the Help is only available in English).
