Yikes, my preferences panel seems very different from the one shown in the tutorial (on semantic editing).

I don't seem to have any way to add a snapshot, but I'm concerned. I think in U 2.0 the preferences were the same, but it seems this portion has changed in 2.0.1. Or, that somehow I've missed up something. Any help?

For example in the screencast there are triangles that allow you to see sub selections under Application, Project, Text Editing, Counting, and Interface. I now don't see anything like that. No triangles. Not the same headers. Very weird.

Okay, I've just checked my office computer. Same thing.

Here's a URL to what I see when I open preferences. A very different view than that presented in the tutorials, and if memory serves me right, very different from what I used to see in 2.0:

    Hello Mitchell,

the Preferences from your snapshot are the Preferences as they appear since Ulysses 2.0. They were changed for 2.0, the Screencast you mention was made with Ulysses 1.6. We moved the options for the Appearance of e.g. the Markers and Styles to Fonts & Colors, also available via the Ulysses menu. I know it's a bit confusing to see the 1.6 Preferences in the Screencast and apply the things you see there to the new Preferences, but I think the new Preferences and the Fonts & Colors are more intuitive to use then the old Preferences.

We'll think about how we can improve the discrepancy between the Screencast and the new look.

    Dirk,

Thanks for the explanation! As a new user to Ulysses the screencasts were very helpful in me making the decision to buy and use Ulysses. I don't really mind that some of the Preferences (of old) are now in Fonts & Colors. But an updated screencast (when inconsistencies exist), or at least a text warning that some things have changed, would be useful. I'm using the screencasts as my hands-on guide for getting familiar with Ulysses—and probably others will too since the screencasts are very useful.
