    Hi,

Is it possible to insert hyperlinks in a PDF export?

Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment.

Is it a lot of work to include that functionality? Any idea if it would be included in the next release?

Could you be more precise of what you'd like to have / what you need. The better we know what exactly you need, the better we know how to do that feature.

@Max: I would like to be able to export the output as a PDF file. In that PDF file, some terms need to be enabled as hyperlinks to websites on the internet. That's it.

This will probably come in a future version. Michael is currently working on the foundations of a much more sophisticated RTF exporter. That one will be able to do a lot of really really cool things, basically about everything RTF can, which is about the power of Word. Links will probably be among this :)

PS: this will not come in 2.1 though. 2.2 maybe. 2.x probably. 3.0 latest ;-)

Is it a significant piece of work to just throw in the hyperlink feature with 2.1?

Yes, it is a significant piece of work, because we're using system functions to generate the PDF output and it's not easy to add features to the system generated output.

    Any update on this matter?

Edit: What I would like to see in Ulysess is internal links in PDF`s Even before the PDF is exported. So when I have an index that I can click on the subject so It jumps tot the right page. Is that possible?

I am not exactly sure what you mean by "internal links in PDF". But I am pretty confident that Ulysses 3 will solve your issue with elegance.

PS: Hyperlinks are coming as well.

I will try to explain internal links. If you are making a manual there are normally references in the text you can click on so you don't have to scroll all the pages but jump directly to it. So kinda hyperlinks but within the document itself.

What I meant with before exporting is that in Ulysess I have different pages with some reference to different documents( within the same project). Some programs ( Like Journler) have this. That if I click on this "reference" or "internal link" that I jump directly to that page.

    Is this a bit clear?

Yes, thanks. These kinds of features will be possible with Ulysses 3, albeit not the initial .0 release. They are planned and laid out and will probably be part of an update shortly after.

I hope this answers your question!
