I haven't worked on my story in some time. I now see many unique words that I had clicked on to learn spelling are now underscored in red as potential misspellings.
Is this an issue with Ulysses or the OS 10.6.7? And how can fix it without having to go in and select each unique word again?
OS10.6.7 is the trouble with Fonts. In my case, it turn up using Personal Brain4, not working with Ulysses itself. I can not find any additional phrases when I write in Note pane in PB even I can save changes and exit under my MacPro OS10.6.7. From this cause I devoted main efforts to downgrading to OS10.6.6, yesterday. Under OS10.6.6, bring back every Additional comments writing in Personal Brain. Please encourage to send OS10.6.7 back to OS10.6.6. It takes a good amount of time to downgrade. Only time will tell.?I hope your ship comes in.
Ulysses doesn't have its own spell-checking system, it's using the built-in spell checker of Mac OS X. I usually don't learn new spellings, so I cannot reproduce your issue here (I just tried learning a new spelling on an unknown word and it seemed to work). But as Boehmflute already wrote, it probably is an issue of Mac OS X 10.6.7.
The issue is systemic. If I now add a word to learn spelling in Ulysses, the word is learned in other apps, too. For some reason, all the words that I had previously (many months ago) selected in Ulysses for learn spelling are now forgotten.
I really can't duplicate this, and if it's a problem with the system's word database, there's also nothing we could do except google a solution and hope to find the right one for your particular system.
However, I believe it would be best to target this at Apple's discussion forum or so, if only to find other users experiencing the same problem.
