    Hi there!

I just love the console mode. However, it's hard for me to use it. My main monitor is a cinema display attached to a laptop. The laptop's display is off to the side showing less important content. No matter which display holds the standard mode window, the console always displays on the laptop's display.

How might I specify or otherwise control the choice of monitor for the console?

    Regards,
    Barry

    Hello Barry,
we have improvements for multiple screens on our list, hopefully they will make it into Ulysses 2.1 that will be released soon.
    Cheers,
    Dirk

    1. Do Mac Laptops have a way to turn off the notebook display and use the external screen only? (like Windows can)
    2. Is it possible to make the cinema display the primary? (Like you can do on Windows, AIX -- I only use those + OSX, can't speak for other OSs)

    Just wondering.

1.: It's not recommended because the fan outlet will be covered in closed state, but if you use an external keyboard, you can use that to wake the laptop up again while it's closed. I heard Mac OS Lion will make this a bit easier.
2.: Go to System Settings > Displays and under Arrangement, drag the little menu bar to the screen you want to use as primary.
