Some months back Max dropped a tantalizing morsel:
"One of the next versions [of Ulysses] will allow direct links between notes and tags."

When this feature arrives, I'll be able to use Ulysses much more. I use a lot of (foot)notes and it's a headache keeping track of them when I move text from here to there. Even the method (outlined in the post linked to above) becomes unworkable for me, since it means reading those unique tags carefully and locating the right note to move along with the tagged piece of text. I was using the date with minutes and seconds as unique markers for notes. This makes it *possible* to link notes and markers, and to generate them automatically, but it's rather labor-intensive when it comes to revising and editing.

So here's just a wish for the Soulmen to have time and space enough to bring this feature into being.

I'll be waiting (more or less) patiently.

    This would be handy

I will not comment in detail, other than what I already stated. However, let me add this:

2.x will not bring it. Nevertheless you might not have to wait as long as this may sound...

    Thanks for the update, Max.

Of course I was hoping that this feature would arrive before 3.x, but now I can hope that it will come before 4.x, as I think about how that might be sooner than it sounds ;-)
