I'm a brand new user of Ulysses and have a simple question:

Are there default labels that should be in a new project? The first thing I opened was the sample Ulysses help project so I could poke around and see what Ulysses could do. When I created my first new project, it contained all the labels from the Ulysses help project, and those were the labels set in the preferences. I know I can change them, but is this the expected behavior?

    Just curious…

For new Projects, the labels from the last opened Project are used. The default labels are Concept, Characters, Locations, Plot, Chapters and Sources, but you are always free to adapt them to your style of writing.
    Thanks, Dirk.

I'm not sure I see the point of having labels for a new project determined by the last opened project. By definition, a new project is likely to be quite different from the previous one. And then, of course, there's the thought that the Ulysses default labels might only appear once (the first time the program is opened) and then lost forever, or never seen, as in my case, when I opened the Ulysses help project first. Perhaps it would be nice if there was an option to "Restore Defaults" in the Preferences.

That said, I'm still initiating myself into the "Ulysses way" and haven't seen the logic of the way developers have set this up yet. It's not a huge deal and I can certainly live with it now that I now what's going on.
