However, apart from technical aspects, concept and coding, there are some rather difficult decisions to be made, whose variables are not in our own hands. E.g. the App Store is very problematic as it is today, to say the least, and there's quite a lot to figure out as far as offering that product is concerned. For one, let's just assume we'd like to give the mobile version for free to every user of a standard desktop license. That seems to be impossible with the current infrastructure, even with promo-codes. Then there's the problem of the App Store not supporting multiple versions of the same application, which can get us in a lot of trouble if we don't watch out (read: updates, system requirements, compatibility).
And so on... not that easy. So there's no release date yet, though we're aiming for "in 2009". If we get approved, of course, which may not happen if someone at Apple thinks we're "duplicationg functionality", he.
