Daedalus touch: Text not moving between apps correctly

    Thanks to *The Soulmen* for the recent upgrade. There are a throng of nice adds and fixes making your app even more useful to me.

    Since the upgrade I'm having an issue with exporting text from Daedalus with the "Open in" Feature. Documents open fine in Pages and Plain Text, but in Writing Kit, myTextsPro and QuickTumblr only the title transfers and the body text is lost.

    Daedalus exports UTF-16 files. You might want to check with the creators of the other apps if they can handle it...

    max, this was working fine in the last version of DT. I used it regularly with QuickTumblr.

    Jep, but we switched the file format due to incompatibilities to other apps. Before it was UTF-8 and had problems, now it's UTF-16 and seems to have other problems. Please ask the other developers as well, because all we do is to write plain text files, nothing special.

    For the next release, however, we might find a way to improve on that as well! Thanks for bringing it up.

    I encountered the same problem, more or less. 'Open in' showed Dropbox and zipThat. Then I set Compress to off, lo and behold! iAwriter, Plain Text, and Draftpad all showed up!

    Yep, because these apps only open .txt files and the others do .zip, which happens when the files are compressed

    Max I would have to assume that it was a result of the encoding change. Two of the apps I mentioned, *myTexts Pro* and *Quick Tumblr*, are from the same developer.
