I've had this in the distant past, but now this morning suddenly again: when I'm typing, the letters only appear on screen after a considerable lag, and slow, slow slow slow-motion. What could it be and how to get the rhythm back?
    * addition: using 2.1 since two days. Did not have this with 2.0.

also, when copying something from another app to the notes, the spinning wheel appears once more, although it eventually pastes it; but I have to do something else in between

Well I just had to force quit Ulysses. I realise that my project is upgraded from 2.0 to 2.1, so I can probably not downgrade?

Well, the slow typing is something that might have been introduced by our recent switch to Garbage Collection for all of Ulysses. The gain you get is a vastly improved stability, at the cost of some performance. Nothing we can do about this right now.

However, in the nearer future we might be able to switch the memory management again, then bringing back the old performance.

Sorry I don't have much better news.

Wish I'd known, but then again, I did not have to upgrade. Performance is affected on my MacPro—and I'm not really willing to change font.
    Thanks for sharing.
I did not have problems with stability btw.

Thanks for your patience. Please rest assured that we know about the performance issue and that we dislike it as well. When the technical settings are right, we make sure to try the new memory management alternative (ARC) and try to adopt it for Ulysses!
