Am looking at using Ulysses for writing science manuscripts. I've not been able to find any information on inserting tables. Clearly tables could be inserted into the exported file formats (tex, word, etc ..) but it would be most useful if they can be directly inserted into the Ulysses document.
Not really. Not in a simple way anyway (as far as I know). You could of course write tabular data using tabs to separate cells, and then fix the table after export. But I'd rather make the table in a word processor directly. You could then, if you want, put the table as an attachment in a note of the Ulysses document where it belongs.
I'm making tables in TeXshop - and include them in the document while TeX-ing the project. For quick & dirty tables, I use Mellel for its ease of use. A facility within Ulysses would be very interesting!
Anyone's got a good idea of how to include (LaTeX-made) tables in an ePub export?
I COULD export each of these tables as PDFs, crop them (hassle) and then call them as images, yes. But that would be a big hassle and I couldn't refer to them as tables, but would have to call them images ...
