I was not able to import .md files made with a text editor on my Mac via either MobileMe or Dropbox. I was able to import .txt files made with the same way. Do you need any trick to import such .md files? I can export a new .md file from Daedalus Touch to MobileMe iDisk and can import it back.
I am afraid not. My finder preference shows all filename extensions. I tried another extensions such as .mdown or .markdown. I also tried to move those files to the other directory. I also tried to change the file encoding. None of them fixed the issue. All of those documents are gray out on the file navigation window. I wish I had more skills to solve. If any great ideas come up to you, please advise. Thanks.
Hi Mike, have you tried to drag'n'drop any of these files onto Ulysses' icon? Also, could you please "get info" on ne of these files in the Finder to check if there's anything funky with the filename? Thanks.
Unfortunately, I do not have Ulysses. Now, I realized that DT cannot open even some markdown files just exported from DT to MobileMe or Dropbox. But DT can open a .txt file exported from DT (the same document as above) to MobileMe or Dropbox.
Does this behavior mean that DT cannot open .md/.mdown/.markdown files from MobileMe/Dropbox but only .txt files, by design?
Which version of Daedalus are you using at the moment? You can check the version in the Settings app, Daedalus should be in the list on the left. The most current version is 1.2 and .md/.mdown/.markdown files could not be imported in previous versions.
I was using and still use version 1.2. I did try to reinstall the app on the iPad but it did not help. I will try to solve them and wait for future update that enable the function for me by chance.
