Thank you for using Daedalus!
First of, 7.4 MB is not much. About the size of two photos these days. Your iPad has 16000 MB space at least, with almost all apps taking more space. To be honest, I don't see a problem here and no need to optimize.
Even if I wanted to optimize, most of the space is taken by the app itself. As reading from your figures, this seem to be 6MB, or about 3/4 of the taken space. And then, most of the remaining space is occupied by the system itself. We have embedded web browser, which might be caching data and so on.
I don't think that storing any number of stacks and sheets will significantly increase the taken amount of space. This is just text and that doesn't take much space.
As I said, we don't actually see any need for optimization here.
There are very many things going on in the system a developer has no control of. The multitasking e.g. may write some of an applications state to disk etc. These common system-defined behaviors definitely explain why many pas show similar behavior.
Again: 1 Mb difference is nothing to worry for me. And I think you will still be able to see similar figures when pasting three novels into the app.
Yeah, Daedalus forever! ;)
