Split view is great, but right now it seems to only show two windows into the same document. Is it currently possible to load in two documents to the split view? If that isn't possible, is there any chance this feature could some day be added? I realize it might be a UX challenge (since some of the content in other panes change based on what doc is open), but I imagine there are solutions here (one being primary, the other being "pinned" or "secondary)

My particular use case: I have one "outline" document and I'm setting up the rest of my project to create documents for each section. I'd like to keep the outline open on the bottom rather than constantly going back and forth between the tabs.

Why don't you use the preview pane for the outline? That way it will stay in view even if you switch between tabs. You can also expand the preview so that it takes up most of the left side part of the window.

    Thanks for the suggestion :D

That would work very well, but unfortunately this particular task requires navigation through collections (I have one collection per top level section, and as I refine the outline and modify sections I need to see what documents have been created already / etc).

That said, preview could definitely meet certain needs.
