    Hey everyone!

I have a paragraph style which uses "- " to indicate a line that should be a bullet. Is it possible to convert that into a bullet when exporting to PDF? I'm not seeing anything for bullets in the PDF export page.

I'm afraid there's no really simple way to accomplish that (as far as I know). However, you could use the following workaround to get bullet points into you exported PDFs:

    1. Create a new Paragraph Style and use the bullet point character you want in your exported PDFs as a tag. For this, you'd need to drag'n'drog the bullet point from the Special Characters (shortcut: Cmd-Alt-T) into the tag field for the new Paragraph Style. You may also want to create a shortcut for the new Style.
    2. Set the list items to this Paragraph Style in the Editor (e.g., using the shortcut or the context menu).
    3. In the PDF Export settings, disable the checkbox "Delete Tag" for your list item Paragraph Style. This way, the bullet point will not be deleted in the export process and will show up in your exported document.

I hope this explains the workaround good enough -- if not, drop us an e-mail at support@the-soulmen.com.
We know that this is not really a satisfying solution for your problem and the next major version of Ulysses will hopefully fix this issue.

Yes, bulleted lists are an absolute necessity for me. These work really nicely in markdown -- and I really think that the next version of Ulysses needs to enable us to write in Markdown as it has become a pseudo-standard for many of us :-)

    Many thanks guys!
