    No big suprises gonna hit me in the face when i upgrade to snow leopard and launch Ulysses 2.0 in the weekend right?

    Actually, Snow Leopard will also fix some issues that are present under Leopard. This includes some weird hangs while editing or switching documents...

    I downloaded Ulysses 2.0 (version 2.0.4) and it worked great until I installed Snow Leopard. Now the program is slow and I have to wait for the colorful "wheel of death" almost everytime I type. The program so far has been very helpful but the speed is distracting. Any suggestions?

    What kind of mac do you have? U is compatible with snow leopard so it have to be something with your installation or machine..did you upgrade to snow leopard? in that case i would try to re-install Ulysses..remember to back up your files first..upgrading to snow or any other os can cause wierd things to already installed apps..thats my tip..

    I am using a MacBook 2008, so the machine should not be an issue. i reinstalled Ulysses and it has the same problem. It appears that every new action (selecting a function from the menu, beginning to type, etc) is followed by the color wheel and a few second delay.

    The problem is really too bad. I am impressed with the product but the delays are frustrating. I am using Ulysses now and it nearly unbearable.

    hmm..and with other apps this is not a case? very wierd..Ulysses worked before installing snow leopard as an upgrade..perhaps there are some of ulysses left in the system somewhere..there are apps like cleanapp or app cleaner to completly remove a application with all files and pref files, maybe try a uninstall of ulysses with such an app to make sure you install ulysses from scratch on snow leopard..

    This is very weird. To get to the bottom of this, it would be great to have some samples from when Ulysses hangs. You can create them via the Activitiy Monitor from Applications > Utilities. When Ulysses hangs the next time, select Ulysses in the list in Activity Monitor and click "Sample Process". Please send some of these samples to ulysses[at]the-soulmen.com .

    Did you do a clean install of Snow Leopard?

    The problems do not occur with other programs. I have encountered no other delays or problems with other programs. I did not use an app to completely remove an application before re-installing Ulysses but i could do so. I sent a few samples to the-soulmen.com.

    Well, its only a suggestion, takes a couple of minnutes..there must be something with the installation cause it works fine on snow..i upgraded to snow myself with no problems..
