    How can I activate the baseline options. In this case to make the 2 into superscript?

    Hello Soulartist,

    in this special case you can get your superscripted "2" via the menu Edit>Special Characters... Just search for the 2 and you will find it as a superscripted character, which can be inserted to your text.

    Besides this option Ulysses is an pure plaintext editor which is based on semantic editing. The menu option "Format" is only for the notes. You can watch our screencast to get an extensive introduction for semantic editing.

    Once you find the number, you then have to click on the character info triangle to access the superscript.
