    OK, end of year is here and we have been promised Ulysses 3 by now. Could we have a status update please?

    Yes your right :) that was the original plan. Well, plans change, but at least we are in the first limited beta round by now. So we can say that Ulysses 3 will be released in the next few month. For more information you can also have a look at our devblog and sign in for the newsletter to keep up to date regarding the development of Ulysses 3.

    Sure, I've worked in projects. Timeline slip? I get it. What I have a problem with is anyone asking about progress getting referred to a blog site that hasn't been updated for months. Just give us some reasonable updates please.

    Great! A new post on the DevBlog. Thank you. Please keep them coming, at least one per month thanks. Now we know that Daedalus will definitely integrate with U3 out of the box. That is worth waiting longer for (and no point in bringing U3 to market without that integration).

    Is it really just me? We kept getting promised the "greatest text editor the world has ever seen"...and is yet to be seen.

    Meanwhile, all I want is good ol' Ulysses 2 with an ability to sync with Daedalus, or more generally to replicate Scrivener's "sync to external folder" functionality. Oh, and Scrivener's tree-based folder approach too, rather than tabs.

    That's simple, fringe stuff. Ulysses is really, really nice. I just can't use it because I need Scrivener to sync to external folders so that I can use my iPad editors too.

    My idea of nirvana is Scrivener with Ulysses' semantic editing capability, or Ulysses with Scrivener's sync and navigation capabilities.

    Just a rant.

    We are in the process of ramping up our development on Ulysses 3. It will offer integration with Daedalus Touch, so you'll be able to sync your documents with all your devices.
