    Hello friendly helpers,

I'm writing extensive notes (and referring to them often) and my eyes are getting buggy from the 10pt. Lucida Grande font. I went into Preferences>Interface>Standard Mode>Notes and changed it to 12 pt. but the change does not show up in my current notes (even after restarting Ulysses.
How do I effect the change?

The problem is that the notes are "rich text", which means that the you can alter the font where ever you like. Thus, the font you are able to set in the preferences is just a reset for newly created notes. The only way to change the font for existing notes is to use the fonts panel and adjust it manually.

    Just a thought--

Perhaps the notes panel would benefit from dynamic scaling in some way.
The way when one might visit a web page one feels the need sometimes just because of the time of day or lighting to make the font bigger or smaller with a simple mouse manoeuvre. A zoom feature.

I too have sometimes deliberated on whether I should go through all my notes to make them a different size font (and I have many of them). For the main text this is not a problem because of being able to change preferences. And going from a notebook to a desktop and back again with my project I simply choose a different preference. For notes however, the size they appear always seems a compromise when for instance one switches between the couple of screens one has access. Making them conform to a 'real' or wysiwyg size does not seem wholly consistent with the overall Ulysses philosophy even if it may be very useful for particular text to retain this information.

    Best.

I would like to concur, that some way of making typographic changes to all the notes, or a subset, would be helpful. Perhaps as part of a "style" search-and-replace (I think Mellel has something of the sort)?

Yes. And I wish there was a way to globally change the current color scheme for notes and not just new notes, without having to do it manually. I've setup Ulysses with a darker custom theme and light color text, but I wish the current notes would change automatically.
