I'm using Ulysses for academic writing. In order to keep my main text uncluttered from the sometimes long footnotes and citation, I am writing them in the notes panel, using wonderful the {{fn}} feature. However, this has caused one problem: it is not possible to do a universal "find" or "search & replace" throughout the whole document, because these utilities do not search through the notes panel. As you know, footnotes are often things that most need changing numerous times, and really need a "search & replace" ability to apply to them.

May I request that this be changed, so that we are given an option for a "search & replace" to include searching through the notes pane?

OK, nothing to see here, folks. Just a user who doesn't know how to use the help menu properly. Problem solved. Move along.

(Sorry for the waste of bandwidth.)

You bet it - here's the solution for the rest of the folks: Just open the regular find panel and select "Search whole Document" from the settings at the right. This will also run through the notes.
