I am writing most of my stuff in Russian, my native tongue, and two out of three font options in Daedalus (Classic and Mono) don't offer support for cyrillic characters. That results in fonts falling back to standard system Helvetica, rendering these themes sort of useless (because this particular size and tracking of Helvetica looks somewhat untidy). Ubuntu typeface in Modern font theme works and looks fine (probably due to complete unicode support), but I would be so much more happy if I could choose a better serif/sans-serif typefaces from the iPad font stack, because after a while even the best typefaces grow old and boring.

I understand that it's purely esthetic request, but, after all, Daedalus seems to value and respect esthetic qualities very highly. Also I realize that new Daedalus versions on a back-burner while The Soulmen work on Ulysses App, but I still don't lose hope. :)

As for searching, I couldn't believe how clunky this is - unless I've missed something, in which case I apologize in advance. All you seem to get is the yellow tag on the stacks. You then have to swipe through all the stacks to see which have the tag, then open each stack individually and swipe again through all the pages until you find the results - a real bummer if you have dozens or hundreds of pages in the stack. And you can only search at the stacks level; if you try it inside stacks or pages, nothing happens. Compare that with other apps - Plain Text, for example - where you enter the term in a normal search field and get the results immediately, the pages filtered and there for you. This really seems a major regression rather than advance for an app that breaks new ground in other respects.

I can use the tag "{{-footnote text}}" for my inline footnotes when I want to export the document as .rtf or .pdf and "++-footnote text++ or LaTeX's standard tag "\footnote{footnote text}" when I want to export it as a .tex file. What I really need is one inline tag that works for all my possible exports. I know that it's not possible for .doc files (I can use rtfs here). But if I have to change the footnote tags for each export again I won't need Ulysses at all, it's what I'm doing all the time right now!. Where and how can I edit these tags?

My Daedalus icon is showing a red notification disc, with a number 1 in it at the moment. I thought at first this was indicating an unsaved, or un-sync'd sheet. But the app seems to autosave and, after sync'ing with Dropbox, the notification disc is still there.

Daedalus syncs almost perfectly for me via Dropbox (as .txt), but I have one odd problem.


Every sheet, once it becomes a file, has odd text at beginning (after title):

It doesn’t show up in Daedalus itself, but it does show up in the .txt file on my Mac.

Surely this is a bug? I would assume the preferred behavior is "Edit..." double click on name to change title, double-click on color to change color, then "Save" and all works fine.
